Creating New Horizons
The Ngaanyatjarra Lands School comprises eight campuses spread across the Western Desert of Western Australia. Although the campuses are separated by large distances they are bound together by the culture of people from groups including Ngaanyatjarra, Pitantjatjara, Pintupi and others.
A major issue for the school was securing teachers to work in this most remote of locations. We were tasked with creating a video that provided a real look at what life in the lands was really like. The idea was not to paint an idyllic picture, but rather give an honest and open overview of what they could expect. We are well experienced in working with indigenous communities in remote locations and for this project drove over 3,500 kms in just five days to secure the project vision.
